Day Laborer Van Overturns Along I-287 in White Plains; Atleast 10 hurt
WHITE PLAINS — Ten people were injured, three seriously including one with life-threatening injuries, after a day laborer van carrying at least 10 people slid off Interstate 287 about 7 a.m. today and overturned into some trees near Exit 8.

Teen Struck by Train Close to Bronxville Station

A Bronx teen remains in critical condition after she was struck by a Metro-North train over the weekend.
According to police, 17-year-old Christin Reimer was walking with a friend near the Bronxville train station just before 1 p.m. Officials say pedestrians are not allowed to walk in that area and the two teens were caught off guard when the train approached.

Heat Advisory Issued

- The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Heat Advisory for the tri-state area from 1pm to 9pm Saturday. High temperatures will climb into the upper 90's on Saturday and combined with high humidity will result in a heat index ranging from 100 to 104 degrees.
