Each year Eastchester EMS proudly improves patient care through continued education, advancements in equipment and the addition of new personnel. 2018 was unprecedented for Eastchester EMS as we experienced the largest call volume since our founding in 1954. Earlier today, the Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps (EVAC) hosted its first annual St Baldrick’s event at the Broken Bow Brewery in Tuckahoe. EVAC has been affiliated with the St Baldrick’s Foundation since 2009, and to date has raised over $54,000 for this great non-for-profit organization whose goal is to raise funds to help find cures for childhood cancer. EVAC Participates in Autism Awareness Event

Last year, New Rochelle PBA's President Christopher Greco challenged agencies all over Westchester County to help spread Autism Awareness by creating the New Rochelle Police Autism Patch Challenge. The challenge started locally but has since grown nationwide. Det. Greco's son (also Christopher) is severely autistic and non verbal, and this year he wanted to so something special for his son's birthday.

Once again this year, Eastchester EMS will be teaming up with the Susan G Komen Foundation to help spread the awareness of breast cancer. In years past, our staff members joined thousands at Manhattanville College (Purchase, NY) for the Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk and will once again be doing so this year on Sunday October 15th.

EVAC Welcomes New President

On Wednesday, June 21, 2017 the Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps (EVAC) held their annual Officer’s Elections. With EVAC’s current President Scott Mikos stepping down after 14 years of serving as an officer, it was time for a new leader. Running unopposed was Life Member Jude Valerioti.
